and digging...Some phenomenological constellations take place in 15 minutes, and it changes your life and others lives instantly.
A client who asks for
a constellation is bringing concrete issues and real life concerns. The Constellation helps them see the possibility of a
healing movement that can unfold in the ordinary dimension of day to day life and relationships
Constellation- work is based on a simple but profound idea: our wellbeing is tied to the well-being of our family
system, or ‘family-soul’, which includes the living , the dead, and generations that preceded us. At a deep level we are the sum of the past , we are connected with everything, especially our family legacy,
whether we recognize it or not. It follows us until we heal it.
Modern research shows that trauma has deep ramifications into the third generation, and trauma is every where.
We carry it in our limbic brain, which is why we need ritual, which reaches deep into the soul.
It is a powerful tool that opens you up because it bypasses the mind and goes right into the soul , it is vital for healing
in the world.
Any
painful event touches every single family member and continues to reverberate
down to later generations.
In the darkest places of our hearts,
the difficult lives experiences that our fathers and mother, grandparents, uncles , aunts,experienced,
continue to live on inside of us.
For most of us they appear in any possible negative form, defined
as a label. As incomprehensible occurring life events and not understandable
troubling relationships.
These negative memories motivate our
kindness and compassion, and make us choose to making the world a happier place, to be healers and teachers.
The wounds people carry are causing entanglements in the flow of love. Issues like murder, incest,
infidelity, abuse, adoption..Hellinger says these entanglements disturb our lives and manifest in the form of sudden illness
or accidents, depression, physical or mental illness, persistent relationship conflicts and dysfunction. Love’s hidden
symmetry appears often entangled.

Below is a quote from the book: “Rachel Weeping for Her Children”
about Family Constellations in Israel, by Dr Bert Hellinger, who developed this work.
“Systemic
Family Constellations are extremely powerful tools to bring to light that was
previously hidden. Certain patterns, laws, are operating in families. Most of them are unconscious and revealed by their effects,
which are visible in the constellations. Many people are ill, or unhappy, or have suicidal impulses, for no apparent reason.
When we set up a constellation of their family, we often discover that they seem
to be unconsciously representing someone from the past and that unconsciously they are saying to this person , perhaps a family
member who died in very difficult circumstances” I will follow you”.
This dynamic stems from a deep love in the soul. None of the people present in a Constellation is familiar with
details of the client who comes with an issue, often shared in 1,2 sentences. As soon as representatives, chosen from the
audience, strangers, stand in their designed places, they experience feelings that seem to reflect something about the people
they represent, and don’t know at all. This can be amazingly accurate, and, when the constellation is over all feelings
disappear immediately as well. Often is shared: “This is exactly how it is!!’
One of the laws is that each member of a family has the right to belong to the system. If somebody has been
denied that right, by being forgotten or excluded out of fear because of a difficult fate, the system will show its effects.
Even a stillborn child has the right to be remembered. Divorce and remarry can cause big entanglements for children born in
the new family of the previous married parent.
An effect of the right to belong is that this person will be represented later on by another member of the
family. In this way, a great grandmother who died in childbirth may be represented by a great granddaughter who suddenly feels
a suicidal urge or a need to leave the family, for no apparent reason. Strangely
enough, if a representative for the great grandmother is brought into the Constellation, the representative of the great grandchild
suddenly feels emotional relief, and now feels that she can remain in the family and stay alive.
Imagine
what this means for working with descendants of Holocaust victims. Sometimes in families of survivors you find that the survivors
don’t speak about their experiences and never mention those of their family
who have been killed because they do not want to burden the current family. But the children may respond by behaving as if
they themselves were victims , for example, demonstrate their solidarity with those who were killed. But also, totally unexpected,
demonstrate perpetrator behavior, by turning away completely from the family and its values.” (End quote.)
If wounds of the past are not healed, the future generations continue to live with the burden, and love
presents itself entangled. And how can those wounds be healed?

The family-soul has
